The World Nordic Walking Championships took place in Belchatow (Poland).
Winners of the World Nordic Walking Championships:
- Natalia Petryshyn won the 21 km race in the 18-39 age group.
- Nikolay Kulinich took 1st place in the 5 km race in the 60-64 age group.
- Oksana Zalisko won the 5 km race in the 65-69 age group.
- Irina Oliynyk won silver in the 5 km race among women in the 30-39 age group.
“Worthy rivals! The second place in the category is good, but… the fourth place in the absolute competition leaves me no choice: I have to prepare for the next meeting! It was strong, girls, I will come to you again! God willing, we will be alive and healthy,” said Iryna Oliynyk.
Iryna Oliynyk also became one of the top five athletes in the overall standings among all women.

Iryna Oliynyk is the deputy head of the Lviv Regional Centre for Physical Health ‘Sport for All’ and co-organiser of volunteer projects in support of the Armed Forces, including ‘Pickup Campaign’, ‘Hoverlyany’ and others,” adds Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
