Basketball Super League returns to Lviv

Lviv Polytechnic-Halychyna will become the ninth club of the Ukrainian Basketball Super League. After a break of several years, Lviv will once again have a club that will play in the strongest basketball division of Ukraine.

The head coach of the team will be the well-known former professional basketball player Yaroslav Zubrytskyi, who today is also the president of the regional basketball federation. Yaroslav Zubrytskyi’s assistant will be the former player of “Polytechnics-Halychyna” Dmytro Khodov. As of October 20, the team is only being formed.

The team will play home matches in the Halychyna Sports Palace on Kerchenska Street. The team will most likely play its first official match in November.

The new Super League season starts on October 22. In the Super League 2022/2023, “Budivevelnik” Kyiv, “Dnipro” Dnipro, “Kyiv-Basket” Kyiv, “Zaporizhia” Zaporizhzhia, “Cherkaskie Mavpy” Cherkasy, “BIPA-Odesa Oblast”, “Stariy Lutsk-University” Lutsk and “Prykarpattia-Hoverla” Ivano-Frankivsk.
