On January 11, the Lviv Region Athletics Championship for young athletes born in 2008–2009 took place in Lviv. Athletes from across the region competed, with Drohobych represented by 12 students from the Ivan Boberskyi Youth Sports School.
Drohobych athletes Khrystyna Ivaskevych and Anna Matchyshyn excelled in the competition, earning top positions:
- Khrystyna Ivaskevych claimed first place in two events – long jump and triple jump.
- Anna Matchyshyn secured third place in the triple jump, showcasing her skill and endurance.
The athletes were coached by Roman Savrun, who prepared them for the competition.
These achievements highlight the high level of preparation among Drohobych athletes and underline the city’s commitment to sports development. Athletics demands not only physical fitness but also mental focus, discipline, and resilience. Each success reflects the dedication and hard work invested in mastering technique and endurance.
