On July 30, the European Junior Boxing Championship ended in Romania.
There, the national team of Ukraine won 17 medals of various kinds. In the overall team competition, Ukrainian boxers took first place.
Representatives of the Lviv Oblast also won awards as part of the national team for Ukraine:
🥊Kira Makogonenko, who also competes for the Kharkiv region, became the vice-champion of the competition in her weight category. In our region, the athlete has been training since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
🥊 Vladislav Zheleznov became the third in his weight category. The boy is studying at the Lviv Professional College of Sports.
For the medals at the competitions, the athletes will receive a prize from the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration – 15,000 hryvnias for Karina and 24,000 hryvnias for Vladyslav. Their coaches will also receive monetary awards.
