On the first weekend of July, Lviv Oblast will once again become the center of professional cycling in the country. The Team Championship of Ukraine in highway cycling “Tour de Lviv region. Junior Edition”.
Coordinates the holding of youth and sports management competitions of the Lviv OVA. The co-organizers of the competition are the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Cycling Federation of Ukraine.
“This is the fifth national cycling competition that we have hosted in Lviv region since the beginning of the year. We know that athletes especially like to come to us for competitions, because in addition to good roads and excellent coordination of competitions, we always implement the best European practices in terms of organizing competitions – this includes online broadcasting, a festive award ceremony, and the involvement of businesses as partners , etc.,” says the head of the youth and sports department of the Lviv OVA Roman Khimyak.
On Saturday, July 1, athletes will compete in an individual time trial along the Zhovkva-Zibolki track. Traffic will be restricted here from 12:00 to 16:00. On Sunday, starting at 10:00, athletes will compete in group races. Athletes will start and finish in the center of the city, on Vichev Square. Situational traffic restrictions are possible on city roads. Athletes will be accompanied by police and medics at the distance.
After the competition at 16:00, participants and fans will be treated to a bright award ceremony with the participation of DykoBrass, Ostapa Drivko and Ivan NAVI. Anatoly Kozak will host the award ceremony. Commemorative gifts are also waiting for the fans and participants of the competition. This became possible thanks to the support of the competition by socially responsible businesses: SoftServe, Hyundai, East West Eurolines, Kormil, Dila, CarGo, Bandit, Halytska Svizhyna and EasyTechnology.
The second day of the competition will be broadcast on the national media service MEGOGO Sport, as well as on the Facebook page of the youth and sports department of Lviv OVA.
