To mark the 100th anniversary of Viktor Chukarin’s birthday, the Lviv Sports Department, with the support of the International Olympic Committee, created a documentary film about the outstanding Ukrainian gymnast. From August 19, Lviv residents and guests of the city will be able to see this movie at the Lviv Film Center.
Victor Chukarin is a prisoner of 17 concentration camps, winner of 11 Olympic medals, absolute world champion and a “flying” Lviv resident from Donbas. Before the filming of the biographical film “Victor Chukarin. “Century” was attended by Olympic champions, pupils, colleagues and the gymnast’s family.
The first public charity film screening will take place on August 19 at Lviv Film Center (14a Volodymyra Velykyho St.) at 7:00 p.m. All funds collected at the shows will be transferred to the “Kurovsky Foundation” for the purchase of pickup trucks for the Armed Forces. Residents of Lviv and guests of the city will have the opportunity to watch a documentary film about the life story of an outstanding Ukrainian athlete.
