Victor Didukh from Lviv became a Paralympic champion

Lviv athlete Viktor Didukh is a Paralympic champion in table tennis. This is the second medal for the Lviv resident at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

Viktor Didukh competed with Shuai Zhao (China) in the final of the individual table tennis tournament in the MS8 class at the Paralympic Games. In a tense 5-set match, the Ukrainian defeated his opponent with a score of 3:2.

Viktor Didukh is the Honoured Master of Sports of Ukraine in tabletop parathlon (musculoskeletal disorders) and Honoured Coach of Ukraine. His coach is Oleksandr Didukh.

Champion of the Summer Paralympic Games in the team event (2016), silver medallist in the individual and team championships of the 2020 Paralympic Games (2021), European champion in 2015, multiple champion of international tournaments in 2016.

He was awarded the Order for Courage, III class (4 October 2016), the Order for Courage, II class (16 September 2021), and the 30th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence award.

Last week, at the Paralympic Games in Paris, Viktor Didukh and his partner Iryna Shynkarova from Voznesensk won bronze medals in the table tennis (mixed) competition.
