The World Paralympic Table Tennis Championship is underway in Spain, where Victor Didukh from Lviv and Maryna Lytovchenko from the Kharkiv region won 2nd place.
Ukrainian athletes reached the finals of the mixed tournament, but lost to representatives of the Netherlands in a very tense match – 2:3. On the way to the final, Viktor Didukh and Maryna Lytovchenko defeated their opponents from Germany and Thailand – 3:0 and 3:1, respectively.
“In such a difficult time, we thank our Armed Forces and rejoice at the silver medal. Preparation for the World Cup was very difficult, and the opponents are also very powerful. I have an individual competition ahead of me. They will start on November 10,” says Viktor.
We will remind, Viktor Didukh and Maryna Lytovchenko are Paralympic champions in table tennis.
