The billiards championship will start in Lviv on August 5.
The first day is the day of arrival, the competitors will start fighting for prizes on Saturday and will compete for three days.
The best will be determined in this type of billiard sport as a free pyramid. The tournament will take place in the new Lviv club “B2V”, located at Heroiv UPA Street, 80.
The championship is organized by the Federation of Billiard Sports of Ukraine, the Lviv Regional Federation of Billiard Sports in agreement with the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv Oblast.
About fifty participants from 10 regions of Ukraine are expected to attend the competition. In particular, the Lviv Oblast team – about 25 athletes – will be strongly represented at the championship.
Now, for certain reasons, it is not clear what will happen to international competitions in this discipline, so these competitions are not qualifying for the World Championship, as it should be, their main purpose is charity. There are entrance fees, part of which will go to help, there will also be an opportunity to simply donate to the audience. A video broadcast of the key matches of the championship will be organized, during which we will especially urge to report for the ZSU, – says the chief judge of the competition, president of the regional federation of billiard sports Oleksandr Bilevich.
On the eve of the tournament, charity master classes will also be organized for players of lower levels and anyone who wants to. You can watch the main matches live on the BILLIARD NEWS channel and on the website of the federation.
It should be noted that the last time Lviv Oblast hosted national billiards competitions was in 2019, when the Cup of Ukraine was held. The best billiard masters in Lviv have not met at the championship of Ukraine for a long time.
