The Wheelchair Fencing World Cup was held in Italy.
Representatives of 26 countries took part in the competition. 13 fencers won awards for Ukraine.
The winner of the silver medal in the women’s rapier in the individual competition was the representative of the Lviv Region Nataliya Morkvych. The girl ended up in Paralympic sports due to an accident in 2007. Natalya is the winner of over a hundred awards from Ukrainian and international competitions, a multiple prize-winner of the World Cup in wheelchair fencing, champion and prize-winner of Europe and the World.
And according to the results of the last competitive day in team disciplines, representatives of the Lviv Oblast won several medals at once. Anton Datsko won silver in the men’s team epee. Natalia Morkvych won bronze in the women’s saber team. Andriy Demchuk and Natalia Morkvych won silver in the open team rapier.
We will remind you that the Asian Cup of cross-country skiing among athletes with disabilities was held in Japan these days. Representatives of Lviv Oblast won 4 medals.
