From January 17 to 20, Lviv hosted the Ukrainian Indoor Archery Championship at the Ministry of Defense’s Summer Sports Training Base. Nearly 250 athletes from 16 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv competed in the event.
The archers competed in two divisions: Olympic and compound bows, with medals awarded across adult and junior categories. Lviv emerged as the top-performing team, claiming first place in the overall team standings.
“Lviv has traditionally hosted both winter and summer national archery championships. These results confirm that the region boasts one of the best archery schools in the country,” said Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
Individual Awards of Lviv Archers
Olympic Bow:
- Men: 🥇 1st place – Serhii Makarevych.
- Women: 🥇 1st place – Veronika Marchenko, 🥉 3rd place – Solomiia Hnyp.
- Juniors (under 21): 🥇 1st place – Oleksii Chepik.
Compound Bow:
- Men: 🥇 1st place – Sviatoslav Karpenko, 🥈 2nd place – Ivan Dziadyk.
- Women: 🥉 3rd place – Kseniia Antonova.
- Juniors (under 21): 🥇 1st place – Artem Dudych, 🥈 2nd place – Yurii Fihel, 🥉 3rd place – Vitalii Hychkevych.
- Junior Women (under 21): 🥉 3rd place – Anastasiia Pandrak.

- Juniors: 🥇 1st place – Lviv-1 (Yevhen Aleshnikov, Oleh Drabik, Oleksii Chepik).
Compound Bow:
- Men: 🥈 2nd place – Lviv-2 (Ostap Buchak, Oleh Vervun, Ivan Dziadyk), 🥉 3rd place – Lviv-1 (Sviatoslav Karpenko, Serhii Karpenko, Denys Makitra).
- Women: 🥇 1st place – Lviv-1 (Kseniia Antonova, Kateryna Palekha, Iryna Skalska), 🥉 3rd place – Lviv-2 (Mariia Polishchuk, Yana Ranchisheva, Anastasiia Smilka).
