Lviv Para Fencers Triumph at the World Cup in Pisa
The competition took place in Italian Pisa from March 3 to 16 and gathered para fencers from 22 countries worldwide. Ukraine was represented by 12 athletes, three of whom were from Lviv: Nataliya Morkvych, Anton Datsko, and Andriy Demchuk.
Competition Results
- 🥇🥇🥈🥉Nataliya Morkvych – 1st place in team sabre and 1st place in team foil, 2nd place in individual sabre, and 3rd place in foil, category A
- 🥇🥉Andriy Demchuk – 1st place in team foil and 3rd place in sabre, category A
- 🥇🥈Anton Datsko – 1st place in team epee, 2nd place in foil, and another silver in epee, category B.
“All three athletes represent the Lviv Regional Center ‘Invasport.’ The athletes’ coaches are Pylyp Kolesnikov, Svitlana Kolesnikova, and Viktor Nikulin,” stated the head of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Roman Khimyak.
