Lviv swimmers won 6 awards at the national championship

Lviv swimmers successfully performed at the Ukrainian swimming championship, which was recently held in Brovary. They won 6 medals: 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.

18-year-old Maria Horodnia won the 1500 m freestyle with a time of 16:56.61. Andriy Shymanskyi, Andriy Kopetchak and Petro Nagornyy train the titled athlete.

19-year-old Georgy Lukashev won two silver and one bronze medals at the distances of 200 m butterfly (2:00.42), 400 m individual medley (4:24.70) and 200 m freestyle (1:52.67). George’s coaches are Andrii Shymanskyi and Andrii Kopetchak. Maria Horodnia and Georgy Lukashev have been swimming for over 10 years.

Sofia Lesniak won the bronze medal in the 1500 m freestyle with a time of 18:06.87. She also finished fifth in the 400 m freestyle. Sofia’s coach is Serhii Stetskovich.

21-year-old Oleg Kus won a bronze medal in the 50 m backstroke with a time of 0:26.04. His coach is Lyuba Karpa. Oleg has been swimming for over 15 years.

20-year-old Vladyslav Samilo took eighth place in the 50 m butterfly with a time of 0:25.33. He trained under Valentina Kvyta at K3S. Vladyslav has been practicing this sport for 10 years.
