Recently, the European Sambo Cup took place in Romania, in which the representative of the Lviv Oblast, Mykola Hrybyk, took part in the national team. In total, more than 170 athletes from 12 countries competed for medals.

19-year-old Mykola Hrybyk won the gold of the European Sambo Cup. In the final match for gold in the weight category over 98 kg, he won over his opponent from Romania. The latter is 11 years older than Mykola, over 2 meters tall and weighing 175 kg.
For Mykola, this is not the first international competition medal. Last year in May, he became the vice-champion of Europe among juniors. In 2020, the athlete also became the world champion in sambo among young men.
The boy also successfully practices judo and wins awards at national championships. The athlete is trained by Yaroslav Hrybyk.
