Winners and prize-winners of All-Ukrainian competitions among pre-conscription youth awarded in Lviv region

The team from Lviv region was among the top three.

The winners of the All-Ukrainian competition among pre-conscription youth were awarded in Lviv region. The event brought together more than 160 athletes from 15 teams from different regions of Ukraine. According to the results of the competition, the best teams were from Volyn region, Kyiv city and Lviv region, which took the first three places in the team competition, respectively.

The participants competed in seven different sports, including 100-metre run, 3,000-metre run, pull-up bar, F-1 grenade throwing, air rifle shooting, 50-metre swimming and obstacle course. These competitions not only help to increase the level of physical activity among young people, but also form spiritual and moral values, promote patriotism and collectivism.

The event is organised by the Department of Youth and Sports of the Regional State Administration, the All-Ukrainian Federation of Military and Sports All-Around Events, and the Lviv Lyceum named after Heroes of Kruty.

The Spartakiad of pre-conscription youth is primarily about physical fitness, patriotism, friendship, teamwork, and the prestige of military service. The world is now seeing Ukraine in a way it has never seen before. We thank our Armed Forces for their resilience in the fight for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.

I also believe that you – all the participants of the All-Ukrainian Spartakiad among pre-conscription youth – will use your potential with dignity and make a significant contribution to the reconstruction and creation of a new Strong and Independent Ukraine!” Ivan Sobko, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, addressed the participants.

All-Ukrainian competitions among pre-conscription youth are held annually to improve the physical fitness of pre-conscription youth for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations established in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, in law enforcement agencies, rescue and other special services.

The main objective of such competitions is to form a successful role model of a military man in society, in particular among young people, promote a healthy lifestyle, enhance the prestige of military service, foster moral and psychological stability, a sense of patriotism and collectivism, attract young people and systematically engage in military applied sports as a form of preparing young people for military service, and summarise the results of sports work with pre-conscription youth in the regions of Ukraine.

The All-Ukrainian competition among pre-conscription youth is attended by regional teams, with a team size of 10 people aged 14-17.

The programme includes competitions in 7 sports: 100m run; 3,000m run; pull-up bar; F-1 grenade throwing at a distance; air rifle shooting; 50m swimming; and obstacle course.
