Military-patriotic exercise “Students in Action” held in Lviv region

The event took place on 18 November at the Lviv Professional College of Sports.

Throughout the day, more than 60 college students practically improved their skills in individual marksmanship, tactical medicine, mine safety and teamwork.

The military-patriotic exercise Students in Action is a continuation of the close cooperation between the Department of Youth and Sports and the NGO Sports and Patriotic Society SHKVAL. The guys who took part in the exercise are direct participants in the ATO/JFO and the full-scale war since 24 February 2022. This is the third joint event this year, but not the last. The final military and patriotic training is still ahead.

“The Students in Action project, which was launched this year, is not only about military training, but also about personal growth, character and leadership development. At a time when our country is facing numerous challenges, it is important that young people are prepared to defend their land, themselves and their families.

Our youth is both our present and our future. That is why this year and in the years to come, the main resources and efforts will be focused on projects aimed at raising a patriotic, intelligent, conscious generation that will build a new, strong Ukraine,” said Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

The Students in Action military-patriotic exercise was organised on the occasion of International Students’ Day, which is celebrated on 17 November, to raise the level of national consciousness, patriotism and military training among young people. The event is aimed at fostering in the younger generation a sense of responsibility for the future of Ukraine and preparing them to defend their country.
