On Saturday, November 26, Lviv will host the championship of Ukraine in breaking, a type of street dance that is currently recognized as an Olympic sport. Competitions will be held in the Malevich Concert Hall. The Lviv Regional Military Administration today agreed to hold the relevant competitions.
Within the program, battles are planned in four age groups: among b-boys and b-girls beginners 12-13 and 14-15 years old, among amateurs 16 to 18 years old and PRO level athletes from 19 years old.
Such competitions will be held in Lviv Oblast for the first time. The competition is managed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the All-Ukrainian Federation of Dance Sports. The responsibility for the preparation and direct holding of the competitions rests with the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv OVA.
We will remind you that breaking was officially recognized as an Olympic sport in Ukraine last year. Ukrainian dancers will be able to take part in the selection for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris.
