Young Drohobych resident Nestor Lehkar became the champion of the International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament in Poland

This weekend, the II International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament dedicated to the memory of the legendary athlete Jerzy Piącki took place in Dąbrowa Górnicza (Poland).

 

The large-scale event brought together young athletes from all over the world, and Ukraine was also represented by a strong team of wrestlers.

Nestor Lehkar from Drohobych became the champion of the International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament in Poland

Nestor Lekhkar, a pupil of the Drohobych branch of the Spartak Sports School and the Spartak Football Club, who was part of the Lviv region team, became the champion of this tournament in the 35 kg weight category. Nestor won five fights, demonstrating professional wrestling and character. The young athlete is coached by Andriy Birka. Nestor has been in love with sports since childhood. He has been involved in freestyle wrestling for over 6 years and is constantly improving his techniques and methods. He has repeatedly participated in various competitions and tournaments of different levels.

We congratulate the young Drohobych resident on his important victory and wish him further success in his international competitions.
