On the weekend, the open championship of the Lviv region in swimming among young men, juniors, youth and absolute level was held.
This championship became a real forum of the swimming elite, which was represented not only by athletes from the Lviv region, but also by talented swimmers from four other regions of Ukraine.
The competition was organized by the Lviv Regional Swimming Federation with the support of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Oblast.
“The large number of participants and clubs testifies to the growth and popularity of swimming as a sport in the Lviv region and throughout the country. Such events stimulate the development of talented athletes, contribute to the exchange of experience and sports competition between regions,” says Roman Khimyak, head of the youth and sports department of the Lviv OVA.
A prize draw was also held for athletes within the competition. On the first day of the competition, during registration, team representatives received numbers to participate in the lottery. And already on the second day, after intense competitions, the children tested their luck. During the lottery, 5 athletes each won 2 tickets to the Aquapark “PLAZH” and another 5 athletes won medals.
