From January 20 to 31, a training camp for the Ukrainian national team in mixed martial arts (MMA) is taking place in Lutsk. In total, nine athletes from the Lviv region are part of the team, preparing under the guidance of veteran coach Andriy Zinczuk.
The athletes from the Lviv region will test their skills at the European MMA Championship, which will be held from February 14 to 23 in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade. The participants from Lviv include high-class athletes in various age categories:
- Roman Avramenko, 12–13 years, 52 kg (SK “Odyssey”);
- Nataliya Mazur, 16–17 years, 56.7 kg (SK “Odyssey”);
- Ruslan Konyk, 18–21 years, 52.2 kg (SK “MMA Center”);
- Denis Romanchuk, 18–21 years, 70.3 kg (SK “MMA Center”);
- Vasyl Fortuna, 21 years and older, 61.2 kg (SK “MMA Center”).
