These days in the capital of Turkey, the world championship in powerlifting and classical powerlifting among juniors and juniors is being held.
As part of the national team, Ukraine is represented at these competitions by athlete from Lviv Oblast Daria Iskiv. The powerlifter competed in the weight category up to 69 kg among junior girls.
In the first competitive exercise – squats – the Lviv residents lifted 170 kg. Daria recorded 107.5 kg in the bench press, and 190 kg in the deadlift.
As a result, the representative of the Lviv Oblast successfully used all 9 attempts and won a small bronze award in the bench press and fifth overall place in the triathlon.
In the triathlon, the Ukrainian athlete gained 467.5 kg, which exceeded the standard for a master of sports of the international class by 35 kg:
squat with a barbell – 170 kg
bench press – 107.5 kg
bar thrust – 190 kg
Daria performed in the weight category up to 69 kg.
