Sviatoslav Hasiuk from Strynia became vice-champion of the world in kickboxing

He competed in the low-kick division in the weight category up to 75 kg. 28-year-old Svyatoslav Hasiuk from Stryi won a silver medal at the WAKO Kickboxing World Championship.

Svyatoslav confidently made his way to the finals, defeating the representative of Mexico in the 1/8 finals (3:0), Turkmenistan (3:0) in the quarterfinals, and Azerbaijan (2:1) in the semifinals. However, in a difficult final match, he lost to the representative of Turkey, who became the champion, with a score of 0:3.

This is not Svyatoslav’s first award at international competitions. His mentor is Andrii Shaposhnikov. The athlete trains at the Hanuman club. He is a master of sports of Ukraine of international class.

“Sviatoslav Hasyuk’s victories at world competitions are not only his triumph, but also a great inspiration for the youth of the community. They prove that recognition and success can become a reality for those who work hard and believe in their abilities, regardless of whether you grow up in the regional center or in smaller communities,” says the head of the youth and sports department of Lviv OVA Roman Khim’yak.

Note that the competition took place in Portugal from November 17 to 26. Their participants were 1,670 kickboxers from 70 countries.
