From February 4 to 9, Lviv will host a significant sporting event – Boxing Week, where fighters from all over Ukraine, including territories near the front line, will gather. The competition will take place on a sports ground equipped for summer sports, and the highlight of the program will be the U23 Ukrainian Championship among adults and a charity professional boxing evening.
More than 200 exceptional athletes, including 13 men and 10 women from the Lviv region, will showcase their skills in various weight categories ranging from 48 to over 92 kg.
Other announced competition participants include Volodymyr Krieger, Arseniy Mykhailiuk, and other outstanding boxers. A notable event of the championship will take place on February 8, where all collected funds will go to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the rehabilitation of soldiers wounded in the conflict. The organizers plan to raise about 3 million hryvnias.
The event will be supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, and numerous local sports organizations, ensuring high organization and competitive spirit.
