Lviv hosted the State Border Guard Service Championship in Polyathlon and Adaptive Sports

For three days, Lviv hosted participants of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine’s Championship in polyathlon and adaptive sports competitions. The event’s program included both individual and team trials, which were a true test of the participants’ strength, endurance, and fighting spirit.

Participants and Disciplines

In the polyathlon, 82 military personnel from 18 state border guard units competed. The sports battles also involved 15 participants from adaptive sports, including military personnel with combat experience, particularly representatives of combat border brigades.

This year, for the first time, adaptive disciplines were included in the championship program – an initiative that became an important step towards inclusivity in the military sports training system. All exercises for the participants were developed by specialists in combat and special training of the State Border Guard Service, and the competition part included four sets of trials.

Results and Awards

The competition was judged by 10 professional referees, among whom were titled athletes – winners of national championships, Cups of Ukraine, and even the Olympic Games.

The awarding ceremony was conducted by Colonel Taras Klym, Head of Physical Training and Sports of the State Border Guard Service Administration of Ukraine, Colonel Yevhen Trachuk, Deputy Chairman of the Sports Committee of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and Viktor Yatskovets, First Deputy Chairman of the Lviv Regional Organization of the FST “Dynamo” of Ukraine.
