The Lviv Oblast tournament of the Special Olympics of Ukraine in swimming among young men was held in Chervonograd

On March 16, the Open Regional Tournament of the Lviv Oblast of the Special Olympics of Ukraine in swimming was held at the Junior High School No. 2. Athletes from Kherson, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Volyn and Lviv regions took part in the tournament.

Chervonograd district was represented by Andrii Filin, Dmytro Luchkov, Vladyslav Kataniuk, Svitlana Rosolovska, Anna Meriniuk, Olena Khaisanova, Mykhailo Darmoriz, Marko Domashovets, Arsen Polohailo. The tournament was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Special Olympics of Ukraine in the Lviv region – the head of the swimming federation of the Lviv region Andriyan Gutnyk.

Our swimmers showed high results and became winners and prize-winners of competitions. In particular, Andriy Filin won gold in the 25-meter breaststroke and silver in the 50-meter backstroke. Dmytro Luchkov won the two highest awards – at distances of 25 and 50 meters on the backstroke. Svitlana Rosolovska showed the best result in the 25-meter backstroke and took the first step of the podium, and also won “silver” in the 50-meter backstroke. Sportswoman Anna Meriniuk won the 2nd place in the 25-meter backstroke, and Vladyslav Kataniuk put “silver” and “bronze” in his personal treasury, swimming the 25-meter backstroke and freestyle.
