Cyclists from Lviv Oblast compete at the European Championship. The continental track cycling championship began on January 10 in the Netherlands (Apeldoorn) and will continue until January 14. At this tournament, athletes earn license points for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

“Let us remind you that Olena Starikova is one of the most titled cyclists of Ukraine. The athlete’s achievements include silver at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, second places at the World Championship and European Games, as well as 10 medals at the European Championships, including 1 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze awards. Olena also became the heroine of the first Ukrainian 9-episode documentary film “On the Edge”, which tells 16 personal and professional stories of athletes from the Lviv region who represented Ukraine at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We implemented the project together with our media partners Panorama Production. In recent years, Lviv Oblast has been a key region in holding road national competitions. According to the data of Strava, a service for tracking the activity of athletes using mobile devices, year after year the roads of Lviv Oblast are a real Mecca for cyclists and connoisseurs of cycling.
