Rowers from Lviv region win five medals at the World Cup

The Canoe World Cup has come to an end in Poznan, Poland.

Valeriia Tereta, a rower from Lviv Oblast, won three medals in the single sculls at the competition:

The athlete won a confident victory in the 1000 metres.
🥉 In the last metres of the 500 metres she won a bronze medal.
🥇 She won the long distance – 5000 metres.🥇 Vitalii Vergeles from Lviv region and Andrii Rybachok from Volyn finished second in the 1000m double canoe.

“Rowing is one of the priority sports in the Lviv region. Even so, such a brilliant performance by our athletes came as a surprise to us. Also, today we can say with certainty that in the future we will have someone to cheer for in the international arena, because the results of the Ukrainian Championship, which ended yesterday in Uman, speak for themselves,” says Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
