Military Veterans from Lviv Region Won the Ukrainian Table Tennis Championship

In the picturesque town of Skole, located in the Lviv region, the exciting second round of the Club Championship of Ukraine in table tennis took place from January 16 to 19, featuring teams from the western regional league. The competition gathered 16 best teams, which demonstrated a high level of skill, taking 1st to 4th places in their groups during the first round in November.

The team ‘The Unbroken‘ representing Lviv region became the undeniable leader and ultimately the champion of this sports event. The teams ‘SV Shina‘ and ‘DUSSH-1‘ from Chernivtsi took second and third places, respectively.

The uniqueness of the team ‘The Unbroken’ lies in the fact that all its members are either war veterans or active servicemen. Serhiy Kalituk, the coach of the team and a combat participant himself, has already gained recognition in international competitions for veterans — the ‘Invictus Games’. This was reported by Roman Khimiak, the head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

One of the types of competitions was characterized by the battle for 9th to 16th positions, where another Lviv team — ‘Knyazhy-1‘ became the leader. The participation of Lviv teams in the national championship was ensured by the support of the Youth and Sports Department of the Regional Military Administration.
