All-Ukrainian chess festival “Morshin 2023” brought together almost 300 participants from all over the country

The two-day All-Ukrainian chess festival “Morshin 2023” took place in Morshyn, in the premises of the Palace of Culture.

More than 280 participants from all over Ukraine fought for the championship among themselves on chessboards. Most of the participants are from Lviv region, but many chess players came from Ternopil region, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Kherson region, Kyiv region, Kharkiv region, etc.

The opening began with a moment of silence in memory of the fallen Heroes. The National Anthem of Ukraine was performed by Honored Artist of Ukraine Rostyslav Kushina.

The sessions were divided into four categories, according to the rank of the participants. The youngest participants of the tournament are 6 years old, and the oldest is 78 (I grade) from Lviv Oblast.

The second day of the All-Ukrainian Chess Festival began with a simultaneous game session with international grandmaster Oleksiy Kyslynskyi. At the same time, 21 chess players competed against an international grandmaster.

The chess tournament ended with a solemn award ceremony. Participants and nominees received certificates, diplomas, medals, smart watches, mobile phones and goodies. The super prize of the tournament was a Chromebook, which was raffled off among all participants.
