On 9 July, another open wushu training session was held in the village of Verkhni Hai on the territory of the playground near the People’s House. The training was conducted by Veronika Klyuchak, Master of Sports of Ukraine in Wushu and coach of the Ivan Bobersky Children’s and Youth Sports School.
About 30 children came to get acquainted with this sport, including children from the village of Nyzhni Hai together with Galina Lesyshyn, coordinator of the social project Active Parks – Locations of Healthy Ukraine. Then the guests, together with the teachers of Verkhni Hai, took an active part in the open training session.
The youngest participant was 7 years old. It was the first time the children had tried this sport and were actively trying to complete all the tasks.
The next open wushu training session will take place on 17 July in Ivan Franko Park, opposite the Ivan Franko People’s House.
And on 18 July, an open free wrestling lesson will be held in the village of Uniatychi at the sports ground of the Uniatychi gymnasium, conducted by Andrii Byrka, Honoured Coach of Ukraine in freestyle wrestling.
