Two athletes from the Lviv region took first place, and three others took third.
The competitions were held in two formats: the traditional all-Ukrainian tournament, the Galicia Cup, and the qualifying National Cup.
The tournaments took place from 28 February to 3 March at the shooting range of the Lviv Regional School of Higher Sportsmanship and brought together nearly a hundred participants from all over Ukraine. The athletes shot in two disciplines: trench and round stands in two age categories.
“Shooters from Odesa, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Lviv took part in the Ukrainian Cup and the Galicia Cup. Based on the results of the competition, the national team of Ukraine will be formed to take part in the final qualifying championship for the Olympic Games. In Qatar, two licences will be up for grabs in the exercises,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

In individual competitions:
Andriy Kobzaruk – 1st place in the men’s SKEET event;
Olena Okhotska – 1st place in the women’s TRAP event;
Alexandra Bartysheva – 3rd place in the women’s SKEET event;
Nadiia Bulgakova – 3rd place in the women’s TRAP exercise;
Oleksandr Bilko – 3rd place in the men’s TRAP event.
In the men’s team championship, the team of Andrii Kobzaruk, Heorhii Ipatov, Rostyslav Hrybovskyi took 2nd place in the SKEET exercise. The team of Petro Polishchuk, Yuriy Kostyshyn, Oleksandr Bilko took 3rd place in the TRAP exercise.
