The UN Refugee Agency handed over warm clothes and thermal blankets for the IDPs of Lviv Oblast

People will receive assistance upon arrival at the Main Railway Station of Lviv.

From the first days of the full-scale war, the Lviv railway station became a refuge for hundreds of thousands of people. It was for their support that, on the initiative of the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi, medical and psychological assistance was launched at the station. Since then, volunteers have been meeting evacuation trains every day, which bring people from different regions of Ukraine.

To help people stay warm, the UN Refugee Agency and partners handed over warm clothes for IDPs to medical and psychological care volunteers. It is about 50 sets of thermal blankets, 400 sweaters and 342 pairs of winter shoes.

The UN Refugee Agency was one of the first to respond to help internally displaced Ukrainians. At the beginning of March, the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi met with the representative of the Agency Karolina Lindholm Billing. At the same time, the parties agreed on cooperation, which is still ongoing.

The organization itself provides various types of assistance to displaced persons. Together with partners, they monitor the situation directly on the ground and monitor human rights violations and threats faced by IDPs.
