Due to fuel shortages, the city has suspended several bus routes and reduced the number of transport units on some. At the same time, electric transport operates in an enhanced mode.
In general, due to the deficit, the work of 20% of public transport in Lviv has been optimized. However, as Iryna Marunyak, Lviv Deputy Mayor for Housing and Communal Services, emphasizes, as soon as the problem is resolved, the work of city routes will be resumed to the required extent.
Yes, currently routes №10, 11, 33, 43, 45 do not run. Route №61 is shortened to Sq. Different, and the route №34 duplicates the bus №20. As Iryna Marunyak explained, 1 to 3 buses ran on the suspended routes and there was a small flow of passengers, so they were unprofitable. Some of them – for example, route №45 – were filmed during the pandemic. Routes with high passenger traffic work without changes. Instead, instead of suspended buses, electric vehicles run.
“We ask you to treat the situation with understanding. As soon as the problem with the fuel shortage is solved, the number of vehicles will be restored, “Iryna Marunyak explained.
