The attempt to import Russian-made drugs into Ukraine was stopped yesterday according to the operatives of the Lviv border detachment. Medical drugs were discovered at the “Grushiv” checkpoint on the border with Poland.
Medicines of various names were transported by a 46-year-old Ukrainian who was returning to Ukraine in a minibus. During the inspection of the vehicle together with the customs officers, 648 packages of medical drugs were found in the luggage compartment and under the passenger seat, the country of manufacture of which is Russia.
A protocol was drawn up on this fact, the drugs were removed in the established order. An inspection is currently underway to establish the legality of the import of medicinal products.
