“Apple gadgets” were found on the border with Poland
Border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment and Lviv Customs officers prevented an attempt to smuggle expensive devices into Ukraine.
The undeclared 38 Iphone 15 Pro, 14 Pro, 13 Pro smartphones, a hairdryer and a Dyson styler were found in the luggage compartment of a Mercedes among personal belongings.
The situation was recorded at the Shehyni checkpoint. According to the driver, the items were parcels that he had picked up in the Czech Republic and was supposed to give in Ivano-Frankivsk. To make the “apple gadgets” less conspicuous, food was put on top of the two bags.
The value is currently being established. Customs officers seized the undeclared goods and drew up a report on violation of customs regulations.
