Lviv handed over 2,000 more bulletproof vests to the National Guard

The Lviv Defense Cluster handed over another batch of body armor to the National Guard of Ukraine. We are talking about 2,000 units of defensive ammunition for the military from Lviv, Uzhgorod, Rivne, Lutsk, Chernivtsi and Khmelnytskyi, who are currently defending our country on the front lines.

As Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi noted during the handover of the bulletproof vests, such help is now extremely important, because the lives of our soldiers are the most important thing. These are bulletproof vests of the fourth class of protection that meet all state requirements and standards.

Now the state has already provided 80% of the needs for body armor for defenders, so the Lviv Defense Cluster is trying to help exactly those military units where such a need still remains.

“These body armor are so-called plate carriers, the main task of which is to protect the lethal zone, leaving all the advantages of a mobile body armor. That is, they are comfortable to wear, and they protect as much as possible from bullets and fragments”, – emphasized Maksym Plekhov, chairman of the board of the Lviv Defense Cluster.

We will remind you that earlier the Lviv Defense Cluster together with KU Institute of the city produced and handed over 85,000 body armor of the 4th class of protection for defenders of Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense has designated the Lviv Defense Cluster as the main coordinator of the volunteer movement for the production of body armor during the war. About a thousand people are involved in production every day.
