While checking documents at the Lviv checkpoint, border guards exposed two pseudo-couples – men trying to travel abroad with the help of fake marriages to women with disabilities.
In one case, a 38-year-old Kharkiv resident tried to travel to Germany with the help of his wife, a person with a group III disability.
In another case, a 39-year-old native of Luhansk region married a young woman with a group II disability to go to Slovakia.
The “lovers” could not give the same answers to a number of logical questions. In the end, the couples said that their marriages were arranged by calculation.
As a result, the operatives of the 7th Border Guard Detachment of the Carpathian border guard detachment sent a report to the National Police about the detection of signs of a criminal offense under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine”.
