At the Shehyni checkpoint, border guards found a citizen of Ukraine who had been wanted for almost a year. The man was heading to Poland on foot.
During the passport control, the database of wanted persons by law enforcement agencies of Ivano-Frankivsk region was triggered against the 57-year-old man.
During the preliminary analysis, it was established that the citizen was wanted by the National Police of Ukraine in criminal proceedings under a number of criminal articles related to the illegal production and possession of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues.
The border guards informed the initiator of the request and handed the wanted man over to the competent authorities.
