In Lviv Region, Candidates for Adoption and Guardianship Were Trained

In the Lviv region, training was completed for 25 candidates for adoption, guardianship, and foster parents.

Over seven days, the training participants familiarized themselves with the legal and regulatory aspects of family care systems and the psychological aspects of child upbringing. They had the opportunity to understand a child’s needs, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and identify their risks and resources to meet those needs.

According to the Children’s Services of the Lviv Regional State Administration, of the 25 training candidates: two families are candidates for parental caregivers; one person is a candidate for guardianship/trusteeship; one family is a candidate for foster parents; two families are candidates for foster parents at family-based children’s homes; two individuals and six families are candidates for adoption.

Since the beginning of the year, this is the fifth training involving 125 participants. After completing the mandatory and free training course, all participants received a certificate with corresponding recommendations.
