130,000 IDPs in state and municipal institutions and compensation for free shelter in private homes: what you need to know about the situation with IDPs in the region, said the head of LOVA Maxim Kozytsky

As of today, 242,000 people have officially registered as IDPs in our region. Of these, more than 75,000 are children, 110,000 are of working age, more than 30,000 are pensioners and 8,000 are people with disabilities. Most registered in April. In May – only 15 thousand.

130,000 IDPs live in state and municipal institutions.

Shelter is also provided free of charge to IDPs in the private sector. Compensation is provided for this.

In March, homeowners in the Lviv region were paid almost 190,000 hryvnias from the state budget.

In addition, the Department of Fuel and Energy Complex, Energy Efficiency and Housing and Communal Services transferred over UAH 2 million in compensation from the state budget in April, and almost UAH 7 million from international financial organizations. These amounts should be transferred to the accounts of homeowners who have sheltered IDPs in the near future.

The actual number of IDPs in the Lviv region is much higher, as not everyone who came from the war zones and lives in the private sector was informed by local authorities.
