The 33rd police station became operational in Lviv Oblast

On August 30, as part of the “Community Police Officer” project, the second police station in the Stryi Territorial Community, in the village of Velyki Didushychi at 150 Goshivska Street, became operational.

Participating in the opening ceremony were the head of the Department of Preventive Activities of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region, Police Colonel Oleksandr Savchuk, the head of the Stryi District Police Department, Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Kotsur, the head of the Stryi Territorial Community, Oleh Kanivets, as well as residents of the community.

The duties of the community police officer will be performed by police captain Ruslan Shtefanets, who has passed the selection and special training and is ready to start his service.

The main task of a community police officer is to ensure law and order in the assigned territory, combat and prevent the commission of offenses, preventive work, ensuring road traffic safety, etc. A policeman is provided with official transport, weapons, means of communication and everything necessary for carrying out his duties.

A community police officer will live on the territory of the community and will be available to citizens around the clock. Its activities will be evaluated by the residents themselves.

We would like to remind you that the “Community Police Officer” project is implemented by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Oblast together with territorial communities, with which relevant memorandums of cooperation have been signed, in order to create a safe environment for every resident of Lviv Oblast.
