Car Fires in Lviv Region: Quick Response by Firefighters
During the shift from April 28th to 29th, fire and rescue units of the Lviv region extinguished car fires twice.
Fire in Vynnyky
On April 28th at 8:35 PM, the Rescue Service ‘101’ received a report about a fire in Vynnyky city on Sukhomlynskyi Street in a Mercedes C200 car. Upon the firefighters’ arrival, the car’s engine compartment was on fire covering an area of 2 square meters. By 8:42 PM, the firefighters localized the fire and extinguished it by 8:49 PM.
Fire in Nahoryany
The next morning, on April 29th at 5:53 AM, firefighters received a report about a fire in the village of Nahoryany, Lviv district — in the private property area, a Volkswagen Touran car caught fire. By 6:12 AM, firefighters localized the fire and extinguished it by 6:18 AM. As a result of the fire, the engine compartment of the car was destroyed over an area of 2.5 square meters. The firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading and saved the residential building next to which the car was parked.
