Zolochiv district: professional firefighters together with the local fire brigade saved 2 buildings from fire
On April 18, at 18:55, the Rescue Service “101” received a report of a fire in the village of Velyka Vilshanytsia, Zolochiv district. The fire broke out in a brick-and-wood outbuilding covered with slate, measuring 12×4 meters.
Rescuers of the 13th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Zolochiv and the local fire brigade of Bortkiv village were sent to the scene.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the building was engulfed in flames. There was a threat of fire spreading to nearby buildings.
At 19:25, firefighters localized and at 20:02 eliminated the fire in the outbuilding over an area of 60 square meters.
The rescuers managed to prevent the fire from spreading and save a nearby residential building and an outbuilding from the fire.
Five personnel members and one unit of special equipment from the State Emergency Service and one unit of equipment and one person from the local fire brigade were engaged in firefighting.
The causes and circumstances of the fire are under investigation. No one was injured in the fire.
