During the night of March 18, carbon monoxide poisoning occurred in an apartment building on Vyhovskoho Street in Lviv. Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were affected. This information was reported by the Civil Protection and Territorial Defense Department of the Lviv City Council.
The victims were transported to the hospital in moderate condition. Emergency service ‘104’ cut off the gas supply to the apartment. Since the beginning of the year, this is the 16th case of carbon monoxide poisoning in the community, leading to 33 affected individuals, including 15 children; unfortunately, two people have died.
Symptoms of poisoning include headache, weakness, and dizziness. In case they occur, one should turn off all burning appliances and call emergency services. We remind you of the dangers of using gas appliances and the necessity to adhere to safety rules.
