Pre-holiday crossing of the Ukrainian-Polish border in Lviv region: waiting time

INFORMATION FOR CITIZENS PLANNING TO TRAVEL ACROSS THE UKRAINIAN-POLISH BORDER

Due to the approach of Easter holidays in the EU countries, border guards record an increase in the flow of people and vehicles at checkpoints on the border with Poland.

This was reported to Holos Sokalshchyny by the State Border Guard Service.

The latest data on border crossing operations indicate a gradual daily increase in the number of people crossing the border. In particular, in recent days, passenger traffic in both directions has increased by 8 thousand.

Travelers most often choose the Krakivets and Shehyni checkpoints to cross the border by car and bus. In this regard, there is an accumulation of vehicles in front of these checkpoints.

At the same time, border guards periodically record queues to enter Ukraine.

As a reminder, there are six checkpoints for automobile traffic on the Ukrainian-Polish border within the Lviv region that operate around the clock. The lowest traffic dynamics is observed at Smilnytsia, Hrushev, Rava-Ruska and Uhryniv. In order to reduce waiting time in queues, we recommend that citizens choose these checkpoints to cross the border. The current situation with the queues can be monitored on the official resources of the State Border Guard Service, in particular on the Facebook page of the Western Regional Directorate, where the data is updated every three hours.

It should be added that border crossing depends on the work of all representatives of control services operating at the checkpoints and employees of the relevant services of the neighboring party.
