The main tasks performed by law enforcement officers are assistance to local residents, prompt response to crime reports, detection of explosive objects, documenting crimes, conducting filtering activities, as well as protection of administrative buildings and humanitarian cargo.
Police officers serve as part of car patrols, rapid response groups, investigative and operational groups, and also serve at checkpoints. They closely cooperate with the military leadership, local administration, as well as with special services. Identified collaborators are handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine, and ammunition and military equipment left by the enemy, after examination by explosives specialists, to our military.
“We also cooperate with citizens – for example, thanks to a report from one of the local residents, we detained a 51-year-old man who, during the occupation, cooperated with the invaders and wore a Russian military uniform. We also discovered the place where he kept his weapons, from where they seized machine guns and a large number of ammunition,” said the commander of the combined squad, police lieutenant colonel Vasyl Petryk.
The combined squad of law enforcement officers of the Lviv Region included employees of all services and divisions of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv Region, as well as the Department of Patrol Police in the Lviv Region.
