The rescuers of the Yavoriv region together with the employees of the Yavorivsk DLGP “Galsillis” conducted tactical and special training
On April 4, the rescuers of the 23rd State Fire and Rescue Unit of Yavoriv conducted tactical and special training on forest fire elimination together with employees of the Yavoriv Forestry.
The purpose of these exercises is to work out joint interaction in practice to eliminate an emergency situation related to a fire in a forest massif. During the current fire-hazardous period, one of the main tasks for foresters is to prevent fires in forest areas, and in case of their detection, timely localization.
Extinguishing a forest fire with the use of one’s own forces was demonstrated, when extinguishing is carried out by forest guards with the help of knapsack fire extinguishers, as well as with the involvement of additional forces and special equipment of the emergency and rescue service.
However, despite the fire-fighting readiness, forestry workers and the State Emergency Service once again emphasize that the best method of fighting a fire in the forest is to prevent its occurrence!
