A three-year-old girl became part of a family in a family-type orphanage in Lviv

Until now, the young woman from Lviv was in the family of a foster carer, hoping that her mother would be able to take care of her in the future. However, this did not happen, so new foster parents are already waiting for her.

The executive committee of the Lviv City Council made the relevant decision on July 22.

“Children need love and care that only parents can give. This is what we strive for – so that children do not end up in residential institutions, but have family comfort and warmth. They should not only feel love, but also see it around them, see an example of healthy family relations,” the administration said.

In total, 11 family-type children’s homes, where 73 children are brought up, and 13 foster families, where 21 children are brought up, operate in the Lviv City Territorial Community.
