Pedestrian Injured by Car in Boryslav

In the city of Boryslav, located in the Drohobych district, an accident involving a pedestrian occurred around 2 p.m. on February 11th. An elderly man sustained injuries due to a car hitting him.

According to preliminary information from the police, the incident took place when a 41-year-old resident of Lviv, driving an Iveco vehicle in reverse, ran over a 72-year-old resident of Boryslav. As a result, the man was injured and taken to the hospital.

An official investigation into the traffic rule violation is being conducted by the Police Department No.1 of Drohobych. The perpetrator could face up to three years of restricted freedom and a ban on driving vehicles for up to three years as well.

Further clarification of the circumstances of the incident is currently ongoing.
