In December, two residents of the Lviv community celebrated their centenary

In Lviv, they continue the tradition of congratulating the long-lived members of our community who have celebrated 100 years or more. Kateryna Kachynska and Anastasia Sambur were congratulated on the occasion of the century in December.

Representatives of the social protection department of the LMR visited the natives, congratulated them on behalf of the Lviv community and handed them financial aid in the amount of UAH 5,000, a commemorative coin and a congratulatory letter from the city mayor.

This month, by the way, as many as nine women from Lviv are celebrating their birthdays: four are celebrating their centenary, three are celebrating their 101st birthday, one is turning 102, and the oldest woman born in December will receive congratulations on the occasion of her 105th birthday. It is interesting that three mothers will have a holiday on the same day – December 25.

It should be noted that all the anniversaries are congratulated by representatives of the city authorities on behalf of the community, as every year. Traditionally, those long-lived people who celebrate a hundred years are given a one-time financial aid of UAH 5,000, a commemorative coin and a congratulatory letter from the mayor on their birthday. All those who celebrate 101 years or more – UAH 5,000. The tradition of welcoming long-lived people in Lviv has existed for 15 years.

In general, in 2022, 280,000 hryvnias have been allocated in the budget for the payment of one-time benefits for long-lived residents of Lviv.
